Ok, I am sure there is a better way to do *this* but here it is just the same.

The USPS does not.

Scarr hooked us up with an awesome little package of some promotional stuff. Sadly, it arrived Monday.

It contains:

2 SoaP hats
3 packets with iron on's to make shirts
free Emusic download cards
South Pacific Airlines Safety Instructions (in case of SoaP)
and some other small widgets.

I'm happy to pass this stuff on to those of you who want it. Let me know.

There's only two hats... we should do some kind of contest or drawing to see who wins those.... what do you think?

Here are my SOAPMEET pictures!

There aren't very many ... did ANY of us really take that many photos? Most of mine are very Minkalicious. Sorry the post is friends-only, but that's how I roll. :D

I don't have very many good pictures since I didn't have my camera with me on Saturday.
I think everyone should post SoaP meet pics here so we can be sure to see them all!

Link to my SoaP meet pictures.

thank you to EVERYONE for being awesome and making this happen.

I don't know how many people are coming car-less, so I'll make the offer - I can get 3-4 more people in my car. Would anyone like a ride from the hotel to the BBQ and thereafter to the movie? I can pick you up on the way from DC.

I know my crew is totally excited! I expect the van of Lansing folks to make my place by 6:30, and then we're off to Amy's parents in Baltimore (ETA 3 AM). On Friday we expect to explore Baltimore with anyone willing to join us, return to her family's place for a nice dinner, and then join SOAPfolks for drinks or something afterward!

Anyone is welcome to call me at any time - I should have plenty of minutes remaining, and I've got a national plan.

See you soon!

Alex (avatrix) asked me to put a poll up for him, so here ya go, folks!

"Here is the menu that has been settled on for the Saturday BBQ. We expect the cost to be around $10-$15/person, but we won't know until we actually go shopping! Please vote in the poll so that we know whether to count you in! If you are bringing guests that cannot vote in the poll, please indicate the additional number of people who will be eating. Really we only need to count the "yes, I'm in" votes. And if we don't hear from some people, we will try to track them down before we go shopping--but we don't want to buy food if we don't know they will be present.

Menu!

Bruschetta (vegan)
Pesto Bread (there will be some vegan portions, the rest with cheese inc.)
Pasta salad (vegetarian, possibly vegan)
Grilled chicken w/ dry rub
Grilled steak w/ dry rub
Blueberry Peasant Tart
Peach-Meringue Tart
Apricot and Melon fruit crumble (extra dessert to be made if needed--based on number of people)"

Poll #797818 SOAP food! mmm

Will you be joining us?

Yes, I will be at the BBQ and eating your delicious creations!
